Chiropractic Care

Injuries can happen at any age and for various reasons, from accidents, emotional stress, sports injuries to simple everyday tasks like vacuuming. Unfortunately, it causes the posture of the spine to shift away from normal.This shift is called spinal subluxation. Spinal subluxations weaken the spine, organs and muscles causing pain, degeneration and disease. Chiropractic care is a safe, natural and effective treatment. You're the boss and as an active participant in your own health, you have a role to play in your recovery outcome too. From posture correction, stretches and nutritional advice, Dr. Kevin  will work with you to help you feel your best.

Bioflex Laser Therapy

The Bioflex Low Intensity Laser utilizes super luminous and laser diodes to treat musculoskeletal injuries, post operative pain and chronic and degenerative conditions. A painless light source penetrates the tissue where it is converted into biochemical energy. This energy stimulates natural biological processes that result in drug free pain relief and accelerated healing.

What can I expect at my first visit?

Your initial visit will begin with a comprehensive exam of the area of complaint. A doctor prescribed treatment will be provided and you’ll have the opportunity to discuss any questions you may have with the doctor at that time. Treatments are typically 45 minutes to one hour depending on the condition being treated.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy treatments effectively help heal the body’s soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, and tendons), by reducing pain and releasing tension. 

Relaxation Massage

Relaxing treatment aimed at decreasing muscle tension and relaxing the entire body. Movements are slow and soothing throughout the entire massage.

Treatment or Sports Massage

Deep tissue treatment specifically for an injured area(s) of the body. Reducing muscle spasms, stiffness and knots and increasing blood flow to the treated area.

Pregnancy Massage

Offers expecting mothers a safe treatment to help alleviate those aches and pains that can be associated with carrying a baby. Our pregnancy massage table provides a comfortable and relaxing face down experience regardless of where you are in your pregnancy.

Active Release Technique

ART is a patented soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Many painful conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, neck,  shoulder and knee pain, commonly involve scar tissue formation as a result from over-use muscle injuries. Treatment from our certified ART provider combines precise tension and specific patient movements that reduce scar tissue formation and restore mobility in the extremities.

Do you direct bill?

Yes, for your convenience we can direct bill the following insurance companies: Canada life, Manulife, Claim Secure, Industrial Alliance, Desjardins, Johnston, Equitable, Chamber of Commerce, Group Health, Group Secure, Maximum Benefit, Sunlife, Blue Cross, Green Shield, SSQ, Cooperators, Empire Life and Nexgen RX. For all other insurers not accepting direct billing, we provide a detailed receipt for you to submit.

Once I start, will I have to keep coming?

As with anything in your life, how long you benefit from chiropractic care is up to you. Remember you’re the boss. Some patients rely on chiropractic care to help manage episodes of back pain and other injuries. Others find it very helpful to include chiropractic as part of their ongoing wellness care. In the end, it’s always your choice to make.

How does the Dr. adjust?

Dr. Kevin is highly skilled in a variety of postural adjustments. Some patients respond better to the Impulse adjusting instrument that offers a gentler adjustment. While others may prefer a deeper, hands on approach. Dr. Kevin will work closely with you to find the technique that works best for you.

Does laser therapy hurt?

No, laser therapy is painless. In fact, most people describe the treatment as relaxing.

Will I be adjusted on my first visit?

We want you to feel better quickly, so if the doctor determines that you will benefit from chiropractic care an adjustment will be provided at your first appointment.

Do you take walk-ins?

We will make every effort to accept a walk-in patient however it’s not always possible. The last thing we want to do is keep scheduled patients waiting. It’s always best to book your appointment in advance.
